During old business the board considered a services agreement between Fire Recovery LLC and the Ford Heights Volunteer Fire Department and a related draft resolution that would implement mitigation rates for emergency and non-emergency responses. Some trustees said the agreement had been emailed only to a subset of recipients and asked for additional distribution and information before voting.
A village official explained the document had been emailed to the fire department head and a few trustees but not the full board. After discussion the board moved to table the services agreement and the resolution and set the items for further consideration at the next meeting (January 21). No substantive fee schedule or effective dates were adopted at the meeting.
Trustees asked staff to provide full documentation and clearer notice prior to reintroducing the matter so trustees could review terms and potential impacts on residents.
