Trustees asked about the value of the parcels and the formal process for transferring or leasing village-owned land. The board advised the presenter to prepare a formal package for the planning and zoning board and for the village’s economic development channel to review. A trustee said the planning and zoning board should issue a recommendation before the village board acts on any land transfer.
The presentation was announced in the meeting as coming from a “pastor Lavell Jones of Town Hall,” but the speaker who described the housing plan later identified himself during citizen remarks. The board did not decide to transfer land at the meeting and directed the presenter to return with a formal presentation to planning and zoning and any required supporting documents.
