Board of Water Supply: Green Street pressure remains at 40 PSI; BWS to provide records on request

Michelle Harmon, the Board of Water Supply representative, told the Makiki neighborhood board there were no main breaks to report for the month and that the static water pressure experienced by Green Street customers (about 40 PSI) is attributable to the elevation of the supplying reservoir rather than recent nearby construction. "Static water pressure is based on a reservoir's location and meter elevation," Harmon said, and noted 40 PSI is considered within range per BWS rules.
Board members asked whether historical PSI measurements exist; Harmon said records and tests likely exist and she will try to locate them for the board. She also announced a free plant sale on Saturday, Aug. 3, and said BWS will present an Oʻahu water management briefing at the board's August meeting if scheduled.
