City staff asked council to approve temporary conveyance of small slivers of city-owned property to the Georgia Department of Transportation to facilitate right-of-way certification for two TIA roadway projects on Country Club Drive and Barack Obama Boulevard. Ben O'Dowd explained the transfers are administrative reclassifications so GDOT can proceed with construction; he said the city will not experience a net loss of property once parcels are recertified as right-of-way after construction.
Council moved, seconded and approved the conveyances by show of hands. O'Dowd noted the packet included maps depicting four parcels and explained the donations are limited to right-of-way needs for project progression.
