"I just think it's worth noting that this is just for them to be able to collect funds for a project that has not been finalized at this point," Council Member Tupin said. After brief questions about timeline and staff reports (including that tennis-court planning required a public notice period of 30 days), the council voted 5-0 to approve the resolution authorizing the mayor to sign the grant agreement.
