Commissioners approve one-year Johnson Controls maintenance agreement for domestic relations fire alarm ($716.93)

Mary Kelly, director of the county’s Domestic Relations Office, presented a one-year service agreement with Johnson Controls to inspect, clean and maintain the office’s fire alarm system. Kelly explained the vendor will check batteries, perform inspections and keep system documentation current.
“The price went up $59.30,” Kelly said, noting the annual contract will not exceed $716.93 and that she will continue to monitor costs and seek alternatives. Commissioners moved for approval, the motion was seconded, and the board approved Resolution 160 by roll call.
The board recorded that the contract is required to come before the commissioners under county code, even though the Domestic Relations Office reports to the president judge. No amendment or longer-term commitment was adopted beyond the one-year contract approved at the meeting.
