Council approves museum portion of Newport Global Summit after questions about Belcourt Castle use

The chair and administration confirmed the application before council lists the art museum only; the clerk said Belcourt Castle is not on the application. One councilor asked whether the evening reception would be a public event and flagged possible zoning or special-event licensing issues if the castle were used. The council voted to approve the museum portion on the consent calendar and asked staff to check whether a separate application would be required for a Belcourt Castle reception.
