Mayor Lynn Ewing presented broad committee groups and said staff still need to collect community feedback on the focus of the city vision. Manager Kevin Lewis proposed offering participation prizes; Chamber Coordinator Stephanie Anderson suggested a city-wide prize or event and said the Chamber board approved reallocating some funds toward promotion of the school bond.
Mayor Ewing, Manager Lewis and Planner Fatland are preparing a short, open-ended survey and scheduling in-person small-group work sessions at the Civic Center for residents who cannot attend by Zoom. Coordinator Anderson said she is updating the Chamber website and encouraged businesses to review their listings; the Chamber will hold board elections in November.
Under communications, the minutes note the City received a response related to a prior Resolution No. 05272020 on the Postal Service and COVID: Senator Wyden wrote that Congress passed a $10 billion relief plan and that changes to the USPS would be held off until after the election.
