Treasurer: auditors reviewing Hubbard invoices dating to 2022

The town treasurer told the Select Board that the auditors are reviewing payments to Hubbard and that she can supply a list of invoices paid since 2022 to assist the review. "I could provide them with a list of all the invoices we've paid to Hubbard since I think it went back to 2022," the treasurer said.
Board members said the auditors have responsibility to verify payments, invoice numbers, dates and amounts, and the treasurer said the ball is now with the auditors to reconcile payments and address any disputed items. The treasurer also noted the town’s practice of not paying late fees in the treasurer’s procedure manual and favored keeping that practice unless auditors advise otherwise.
No formal action was taken beyond confirming the auditors would follow up; the board agreed to supply requested documentation to the auditors.
