Colfax administration reports roof repairs, pool liner install and SR-195 paving delay

City Administrator Matt Hammer updated the council on building and public-works projects. "The roof is in day 2 of the tear off phase," Hammer said, noting contractors reported no water damage on the front but some rot near the back that appears to be prior deterioration. An insurance adjuster was scheduled to inspect the roof the day after the meeting.
Hammer said pool work is moving forward: pool liner installation was set to begin the next day, the fence contractor was on site, lights had been installed and landscaping continued. He also told the council that the SR-195 paving project has been delayed until Spring 2026 and that administration and department heads have begun work on the 2026 budget. Utility bills were sent the same day.
