Applicant says a former official prompted agency scrutiny; commissioner denies broader contact
Summary

During discussion the applicant (Blevins) said she was told a former board member had been contacting agencies and that ‘‘every agency that they could think of’’ had been brought against the applicant. She said this contributed to a tense meeting with multiple county and state officials on site.
Commissioner (speaker 3) responded on the record that he did not contact state agencies and that the only person he called was the county administrator. He said as a commission member it is his obligation to report known violations: "I only did what as a commission member I am required to do and what I am required to do as a representative of the citizens of this county." The exchange was recorded in the commission minutes and did not change the commission's motion to forward the application with conditions.
