Kim Lenti, a Putnam Drive resident, told the Stormwater Board that a June 24 rainstorm sent water into the south end of her street "completely flooded up to the garage people's actual garages," and said the sewer was not draining.
Lenti said about six houses were affected, one parked car was totaled in a prior flooding event, and that the preschool at the end of the street was flooded. "We had a major, rainstorm... the south end of our street, completely flooded up to the garage people's actual garages," she said and indicated she had video of the event. Chair Michael Lambert responded that staff would look into the situation and work to address the problem.
Board members asked clarifying questions about where the water traveled and whether it originated from the school site; staff and the chair said they would follow up to inspect the area and review drainage and sewer function. The board did not take formal action during public comment but told Lenti the town would investigate and report back.
