At the planning commission meeting the applicant (Blevins) described operational experience from a recent Clint Black concert and said that event informed the safety and parking planning submitted to the commission.
Blevins said the Clint Black concert had "a little over 1,000" tickets sold and that, with comp tickets, the attendance "maybe 1,200 people at the most." She told the commission the site could likely hold "about 2,500 to 3,000" comfortably but that large events would be limited to no more than two per year. She described using on‑site and adjacent parking areas for the concert, shuttle options from remote lots, and that the state police helped implement a plan that cleared parking within roughly 20 minutes after a 10 p.m. end.
On security, Blevins said large events had armed security at the Clint Black concert and that staffing for smaller events would be scaled to need: "We would probably have people there that were trained in security...we would just have to take that per each event." On concessions and vendors, she said the applicant "haven't decided at this point" whether to allow alcohol vendors and are looking at practices used by other drive‑ins for single events.
