Staff asked the commission for authorization to advertise an RFP for transit-oriented development on a city-owned site located just north of the new Gateway Station, which had a ribbon cutting on March 31. Staff described the RFP as an initial step to plan transit-oriented development on property the city owns about a mile north of downtown.
"This is for some transit oriented development that we would like to plan for a site that we own just north of the new Gateway Station," staff said. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved authorization to advertise the RFP by roll call (5 yes). No proposals were selected at this meeting; the authorization enables staff to solicit proposals for future review.
