Board recommends $1.74 million award for 100th/165th Street improvements

City engineering staff told the board the company was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and that the Indiana Department of Transportation approved Community Crossings Matching Grant funding for the project after the bid opening.
The board’s engineering representative explained the timing: “They are been found to be responsive and responsible,” and noted the state approved grant funds shortly after the bid results were submitted. Board members recommended approval and the chair concurred; staff said the city will return with executed agreements and the funding allocation paperwork at a subsequent meeting. The award is contingent on completing those contract and funding steps.
