Selectmen stop taping Warrant & Finance meetings until a warrant exists after heated committee sessions

Selectmen debated recent Warrant & Finance Committee meetings and whether meeting tapes should be recorded when there is no warrant article to review. Selectmen David Winchell Jr. said meetings had become unproductive and at times devolved into criticism of the Board; he proposed that meetings not be taped until a warrant requires review. The board agreed and decided that while taping will be suspended for now, the committee must continue producing minutes.

In public comment, resident Robin Ham criticized interpersonal conflict on the committee and defended the Board's emergency handling of the generator purchase, saying the process should not be rehashed when a matter was addressed at Town Meeting. The Board asked for committee productivity and a return to review of warrant articles when relevant.
