The Town Administrator reviewed a batch of tax abatements and related supplements and told the board that two recent abatements had used the prior year’s tax rate ($12.05) in error; going forward staff will apply the corrected 2021 rate of $11.95. The board approved abatements including Whole Nine Yards ($1,289.51), Beaudoin property ($1,854.76), Dennis Irrevocable Trust ($1,751.42), Caley & Tucker Brown ($3,744.15) and Mark & Alyssa Sibley ($7,755.82), and corresponding supplements for the correct property owners.
Selectmen voted to approve all abatements and also accepted the certificate of supplement commitment as explained by the Town Administrator. The administrator noted that when supplements are sent to the new owners, the first payment becomes due 60 days later (approximately Dec. 6, 2021). The board's motions to approve the abatements and accept related certificates were carried without discussion.
