Nick (S5) reported the commission provided funding for a study focused primarily between the town border and Benton Street. He said the board's sign-off was requested to proceed to town council for execution: "We received some funding from the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission to study drainage on East 117th Avenue... it requires an interlocal agreement."
A staff member noted the commission would pick up roughly 80% of the study cost and that preliminary work had begun. When asked how long the watershed analysis would take, staff said it should be completed "before the end of the year." John moved to make a favorable recommendation to the town council; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The recommendation authorizes the town to enter the interlocal agreement and proceed with the watershed analysis; final execution will occur at the town council level as noted by staff.
