A state design-release application for the Downtown Hammond Train Station was presented to the Board of Public Works and Safety on March 26, with staff reporting Larson Danielson as the low responsive and responsible bidder.
Staff asked the board to authorize the board president to sign the design-release application on behalf of the owner so the project can proceed through the state process. "I'm asking for the board to approve the board president to sign that application on behalf of the owner," a staff member said. A committee member recommended approval and the board concurred.
The recommendation will allow the city to complete the state paperwork necessary for subsequent design and construction steps; any contract award remains subject to standard state and local approvals.
