Jackson County approved Order No. 184-26 on July 8, 2026, authorizing a services agreement with Lines for Life to provide 24/7 crisis call center services. Senior Deputy County Administrator Joel Benton explained the agreement’s goal is to reduce reliance on law enforcement as primary responders to behavioral-health crisis calls by routing crisis contacts to a dedicated crisis call center operated by Lines for Life.
Commissioner Rick Dyer read the Order by title and Commissioner Colleen Roberts moved to approve it; Commissioners Sparacino and Dyer joined Roberts in voting aye and the motion passed. The action directs county staff to execute the services agreement as described in Order No. 184-26.
