The Treasurer and the School Finance Director received a draft Auditor’s Report for review; Roux said most items in the draft are school-related and the Treasurer is coordinating review. Roux then summarized recent revisions to the Freedom of Information Act effective Oct. 18, 2021: what used to be one hour of free search time is now two hours; the hourly rate after free hours increased from $15.00 to $25.00; and the per-copy rate decreased from $0.25 to $0.10. The Town’s records policy will be updated to reflect these changes.
Roux also reviewed upcoming office closures: Town Offices closed Nov. 11 for Veteran’s Day; Nov. 25–26 for Thanksgiving (Friday unpaid for hourly staff unless PTO used); projected closure on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) as unpaid for hourly staff if staffing allows; New Year’s Eve may have afternoon closure; and the Town Clerk office will close Nov. 9 from 1:00–3:00 p.m. for Motor Vehicle training. The Board signed warrants and approved routine items before adjourning at 6:40 p.m.
