Selectmen appoint Blakney, Gallagher and Broader to local committees

The Town Administrator reported committee membership needs and presented recommended appointments. The Board appointed Richard Blakney to the Road Committee to serve until June 30, 2024; Yoli Gallagher was moved from ZBA alternate to a regular Zoning Board of Appeals seat until June 30, 2023; and Bernard Broader III was advanced from Warrant & Finance alternate to regular member until June 30, 2022. Each motion cited 30A MRSA 2602; motions were made by Selectman Ed Walsh, seconded by Selectman David Winchell Jr., and approved unanimously with Selectman Kimberly Stacey-Horn absent.
Roux also emphasized continuing vacancies—two ZBA alternate seats and a Rec Committee shortfall—that the Board hopes to fill through local outreach and word-of-mouth; she noted that without additional volunteers town events such as the tree lighting may not proceed as planned.
