Board honors two fire department retirees and accepts retirement letters

The chair read that Captain Brian Smith had served more than 27 years, effective April 27, 2026, and Battalion Chief Christopher Walsh had served more than 32 years, effective June 22, 2026. A board member moved to approve the retirements, another seconded, and the board voted to accept the retirements and the chair thanked both firefighters for their years of service.
