Board approves $107,148 procurement for 2025 manhole inflow reduction materials

Schroder explained that many manholes and cleanouts lie within county right‑of‑way, are paved over, or sit in low areas susceptible to inflow and infiltration, and that early procurement reduces manufacturing and shipping lead times and contractor markup.
The requested procurement covers 180 manhole frames and covers ($103,472) from Famcon Pipe & Supply and 20 cleanout frames and covers ($3,676) from Winwater Company, for a total cost of $107,148 including tax and shipping. Schroder noted unit prices have risen 5–20% compared to the prior year but that the procurement remains within the approved project budget of $315,000. The Board approved the procurement by vote.
