Board approves purchase of new skid steer and loader for $284,841.85; declares older equipment surplus

Porter said the new loader will improve snow response capability and reduce reliance on contractors during severe weather.
The total purchase cost is $284,841.85, slightly above the $280,000 budgeted amount, and will be charged to Wastewater Fund 200. Porter said the older equipment will be declared surplus and disposed of according to District policy. "The new units will meet the requirements of engine upgrades, per CARB Off‑Road Diesel regulations," Porter said. The board approved the purchase and surplus declarations.
