Council approves amended developer agreement for Casey’s; engineering deadline moved to Sept. 15, 2026

City administrator Gensby told the council that the city’s engineering consultant (PTC) could not provide roadway-design plans to Casey’s by the June 30 deadline in the contract, and staff and the developer agreed to a new delivery date of Sept. 15, 2026. Gensby said engineers from both organizations are coordinating to complete the plans.
Council members questioned two changes in the draft amendment: the review period was extended from 14 to 21 days, and item numbering in the amendment appeared to skip an item. After clarifying those points on the record, Council member Baldrige moved to approve the amendment and authorize the mayor to sign; the motion was seconded by Council member Dwyer and passed 4–0.
The amendment formalizes a schedule extension and does not, in the text presented at the meeting, change the substance of the roadway design requirements. Council requested no additional substantive revisions during the meeting and advanced the contract amendment for mayoral signature.
