The Board approved the purchase of a replacement fleet vehicle and declared Unit #86 surplus at its Aug. 26, 2025 meeting. Field Operations Manager Nathan Porter said Unit #86, a 2016 Chevy Silverado used daily for service orders and customer service, was deemed a total loss after a minor traffic accident; the District's insurer reimbursed $18,697.48.
Porter told the Board a reliable replacement vehicle is essential to maintain daily service operations and recommended purchasing a new vehicle at a cost not to exceed $60,000; the purchase is budgeted for Fiscal Year 2026–27 and will be charged to Wastewater Fund 200. Director Bruce Reynolds moved and Vice President Steve Boydston seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
