The Executive Committee reviewed two Action Calendar items for the January board meeting: nominations for Special District seats on the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) and adoption of an updated Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP).
Staff explained the LAFCO election process for Special District vacancies and noted the current incumbents intend to run again; the board will have the opportunity to submit a nomination if it chooses. On the SSMP, staff reported the submission will be late because of timeline changes but that no penalties will be assessed; the minutes note the next major SSMP update is due in 2028.
No formal LAFCO nomination or SSMP adoption vote is recorded in the Executive Committee minutes; these items are scheduled for consideration by the full board at the January meeting.
