General Manager Catherine Cerri told the Executive Committee that district staff met with the California Division of Drinking Water to expedite approval of the PFAS plan so a financing agreement can move forward. The committee was told that staff are coordinating with state regulators to shorten review timelines where possible.
Cerri also said no additional samples were taken during the recent storm because a first‑flush sample had already been collected in November. The PFAS item was presented as part of the January board meeting agenda; any formal approvals or financing actions would be addressed by the full board.
