District reports progress toward 40% I&I reduction under Cease-and-Desist Order

Field Operations Manager Nathan Porter told the Board the District remains on track to meet the 40% inflow-and-infiltration (I&I) reduction required by Cease-and-Desist Order No. R6V-2013-0022.
Porter reported that required compliance reports have been submitted and that the wastewater treatment plant currently processes about 2.8 million gallons per day during wet weather—well below permitted maximum capacity. "The District continues to meet the reduction requirements," Porter stated, and staff anticipate full compliance by 2026 when the CDO is expected to conclude.
The Board received the update with no public comment; staff tied upcoming capital work (including slip lining Project #268) to the District's I&I reduction strategy.
