The Town of Nutter Fort held the first reading Aug. 13 of Ordinance 2024‑09, which would authorize issuance of up to $1,500,000 in Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 2024 A, and up to $2,500,000 in Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 2024 B (West Virginia SRF Program/forgivable), to finance extensions and improvements to the town’s public sewerage system.
Councilor Charlene Louk moved to accept the first reading and Councilor Karen Phillips seconded; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The ordinance text included provisions covering bond sale mechanics, security for registered owners and authorization to execute related documents; council took no additional votes on terms at this meeting, which constitutes a procedural first reading only.
