Michelle Thomas Ford, the district chief financial officer, presented the figures and reiterated the total: "The total millage is 6.2450." She also explained that the board cannot increase legislatively capped millages and that, as presented, the district's proposed levy is the lowest total levy in the last 10 years. The board recorded the approvals during the special tentative budget meeting after opening and closing a public hearing on the millage items.
