Residents press Nutter Fort council on striping, turning light, pothole and speed bumps

Resident Dennis Dutchess asked for an update on striping from the park exit to the area around Taqueria LouLous; Code Enforcement Officer Wade Keith said the town is waiting on the contractor and estimated the work to occur in roughly one to two months. Resident Mike Curran asked about the absence of a turning light at Buckhannon Pike and Pennsylvania Avenue; Mayor Sam Maxson said he had attempted to contact the West Virginia Department of Highways but had not yet received a response. Curran also asked about speed bumps; the council said no recent Traffic Advisory Board meetings have occurred to advance that item.
Resident Jennifer Robinson raised a pothole at Bryan Street and Indiana Avenue; staff reported the repair is in progress. Robinson also asked whether the town could cap the cybersecurity evaluation or involve other departments after notice from the WV Public Service Commission; staff said there is a time crunch because the notice arrived late.
