Pool inspection finds repairs needed; current admission rates reviewed but not changed

Staff reported WMS Aquatics inspected the Milton-Freewater pool and supplied a list of repairs; the committee reviewed Resolution No. 2348 (current admission rates effective June 13, 2017) but took no action on rates and council will be briefed in April.
Interim City Manager Tim Johnson reported that WMS Aquatics of Ellensburg, Washington conducted a site visit to the Milton-Freewater aquatic center and provided recommendations on necessary repairs prior to opening for the summer season. Johnson said an estimate and repairs list will go to city council at its April meeting for consideration.
Public Works Assistant/Project Aide Krista Gannon provided the committee with the current aquatic center rate resolution (Resolution No. 2348, effective June 13, 2017) for review; the committee did not act on rates at the March 17 meeting. Johnson also noted the council planned a March 23 business meeting to hire the pool manager and address summer staffing, then adjourn to a work session.
