Highway Foreman Shane Heath reported that part of the shallow section of the town garage roof blew off in a windstorm and that plywood under the roof decking is rotted in spots. Shane said the roof has been leaking for some time and that field inspections were made by Dana Palmeri and Dana Patoine.
According to the meeting record, Dana Patoine roughly quoted a metal roof replacement at about $11,000. The board asked for solid written quotes for both a metal roof and a rubber roofing option similar to what the school uses before making a procurement decision.
