The Sutton Selectboard voted Nov. 14 to award a $14,588.08 contract to Patoine Builders (Dana Patoine) to repair a leaking section of the town garage roof.
Two written proposals were on the table: Patoine Builders proposed removing the existing corrugated steel, installing 1/2" plywood, ice-and-water shield and HF Junior roofing (a hidden-fastener profile) for $14,588.08. Palmieri Roofing, Inc. proposed removing the corrugated metal and metal chimney, installing a 1/2" HD roof cover board and a rubber membrane roof for $21,573, with an optional $3,000 upgrade to 3" ISO (R-17.4) insulation and additional edge blocking.
Board member Tim Simpson moved to award the job to Dana Patoine in the amount of $14,588.08, with $10,000 coming from the CTCL grant the town received in September and the remainder from the Building Capital fund; Joe Solinsky seconded and the motion passed. The meeting minutes record that the board accepted the lower-cost Patoine proposal and approved the funding allocation at the Nov. 14 special meeting.
The transcript does not record a roll-call tally or further conditions on the contract award. The town clerk submitted the meeting minutes and recorded adjournment at 10:00 a.m.
