Ghisla Elected Board President in 3–2 Vote at Kenwood School District Organizational Meeting

Board President Cheryl Ghisla was re-elected president of the Kenwood School District Board of Trustees by a 3–2 vote during the board’s Dec. 11, 2025 organizational meeting. Nominations from the floor included Javier Tenorio’s nomination of James Larson and Pat Alexander’s nomination of Ghisla; the minutes record a 3-to-2 result in favor of Ghisla.
The board also elected James Larson as board clerk and Teresa Jepson as the district’s representative to the County Committee on School District Organization. Those officers were approved by motions recorded in the minutes. Trustees set the regular 2026 meeting schedule for the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m., except July. The minutes do not record individual roll-call vote tallies for the clerk and county representative elections or the schedule approval.
