Memorial Pavilion receives construction funds; city keeps pool artifacts in DPW storage

Councilors asked about the preserved artifacts from the former indoor pool and requested a plan for how those items will be displayed or incorporated into the site. Stevens said the items (sign, cupolas and other saved pieces) are in DPW cold storage and the city has applied for a Commonwealth Shared Spaces grant to fund additional site elements, signage and lighting that were not included in the current contract. Councilors asked that the preservation plan and potential signage be communicated to the public as the pavilion work proceeds.
