State grants fund Keys Road culvert replacement that serves 60+ households

Director Stevens announced the city will replace the Keys Road culvert with a full bridge after receiving $2,014,230 through MassDOT's community culvert grant program. "That's for the amount of $2,014,230 to oversee the entire construction of the replacement of the Keys Road culvert into a full bridge that serves both Wilder Brook and the 60 plus households," Stevens said.
He said TimeBond will provide design, bidding and construction services, and the city auditor is preparing the state standard contract and notice to proceed to create a project account for the grant funds. Councilors applauded the funding as a major protective investment for the affected neighborhood.
