Board members asked about follow-up for students who leave the district. Young said the district has discussed performing exit interviews for both students and staff but has not implemented student exit interviews districtwide; he suggested confidential surveys could give useful information on why families move on. Young also cited athletics and programmatic offerings (for example, specialized sports) as reasons some families choose other districts.
