Ohio auditor's office presents clean-audit award to Cuyahoga Heights Local

Tina Ludwig, Northeast Regional Liaison for Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber, presented the Auditor of State award to Cuyahoga Heights Local School District during the July 27 board meeting. Ludwig said the award recognizes districts that file timely financial statements and receive a clean audit report, and she told the board the honor puts the district among roughly the top 10% of the auditor's clients.
'2This award is presented to local governments and school districts upon the completion of a clean audit report,' Ludwig said. She described a clean audit as one with no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, or uniform guidance findings. Treasurer Matt Muccio accepted the recognition on behalf of the district and singled out staff, naming payroll and HR specialist Lehi Rodriguez and assistant treasurer Kathy Martin for their roles in the work.
Muccio said the award reflects a team effort and expressed appreciation to the board, superintendent, and administrative team for support. The board photographically commemorated the award before moving on to superintendent and treasurer business.
