District says drainage handled heavy rain; track refinished under warranty
Summary
Facilities staff reported the high‑school football field drainage performed as designed during a heavy storm, with surface water largely gone within 30–40 minutes, and that a recent track refinishing was completed under warranty at no cost to the district.

Facilities staff explained how the drainage basin serving the football and adjacent fields channels stormwater and said the system worked as designed during a recent heavy rain. "The water had gone down substantially. There was only a little bit of pooling on the east and west side of the track... from that time, the water was gone," the facilities lead said, noting the basin managed runoff toward downstream flood‑control devices and limited impact on nearby residential areas.
Staff added that the synthetic track material is designed to tolerate frequent rain and that no noticeable long‑term damage was observed after the storm. The board was told the track had been refinished this summer and that work was performed under warranty at no additional cost to the district.
