Residents press Heritage Pines board on trees, curbs, mosquito control and meeting microphones

HPCA General Manager Herb Hurley replied that he and Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz oversee the trees and offered to speak with Harris after the meeting. Joyce Welsh said "the curbs in front of her residence are crumbling" and was asked to provide her address so the engineer could inspect. Tim Sweeney asked about using microphones during meetings; Chair Kathleen Lonergan said she submitted the request and Mr. Gatz asked to be copied on related emails.
During audience comments, Susan Napolitano questioned whether awarding contracts to the lowest bidder is best practice; District Manager Chuck Adams defended his prior experience with Premier Lakes. Supervisor Janice Benedetti reported a technician treated an area for mosquitoes and identified significant issues at that pond. The board discussed whether residents who installed sprinklers in lakes should pay for future maintenance and whether to adopt a policy or handle requests individually.
