Wynona school board approves amended 2025–26 hours and multiple contracts

The Board of Education of Independent School District No. 30 (Wynona Public Schools) approved several routine and contract items during its April 8, 2026, regular meeting, including an amendment to the district’s 2025–26 instructional hours and vendor contracts for sites and services.
Board President Crystal Edwards moved and Josue Bassett seconded the motion amending the OSDE-required conversion to 1,086 hours for the 2025–26 school year; Edwards, Diana Christianson and Bassett voted yes with no opposing votes. The board also approved adjunct assignments for Heath Roach (World History; English I–IV) and Christina St. John (Physical Science), approved a Parentsquare license for the district website and the Motormouth speech contract for 2026–27, and approved a land survey from White Hawk Engineering. The OCIC contract for Federal Programs Management was tabled for further consideration.
The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m.; three members were present and two were absent. Superintendent Cory presented the annual student dropout and remediation reports and led a discussion of the school climate survey results. The board adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
