The Payson City Planning Commission voted unanimously May 27 to forward a favorable recommendation to the City Council for an I-O (Infill Overlay) designation on Utah County Parcel #08:048:0029, located at 353 N 300 E. Commissioner Kepi Heimuli moved "To send a favorable recommendation of the I-O In-fill Overlay for parcel #08:048:0029 to City Council," a motion seconded by Commissioner Perry Adams and approved with five yes votes (Adams, Beecher, Frisby, Gedeborg, Heimuli).
Staff told commissioners the parcel, currently zoned R-1-7.5 Residential, contains an existing home and that the applicant proposes a two-lot subdivision. Staff said the resulting lots would be "approximately 7000 square feet with 70.5 feet of frontage"—just under the 7,500 square-foot minimum—and noted there are similar lots nearby. Applicant Jerry Dibble confirmed she owns the property and said she may sell the existing home and either build on or sell the second lot. The commission’s recommendation now goes to Payson City Council for final action.
