The Coffee County Election Commission certified early voting and absentee voting machines July 9 after machine technicians completed logic-and-accuracy testing. Administrator Andy Farrar reported technicians cleared each machine and printed zero tapes showing a zero public count for each candidate before machines were locked and sealed.
Farrar said seal numbers were documented and the machines were prepared for early voting that will feed into the Aug. 6, 2026 election. The Commission recorded the certification in the minutes as part of routine pre-election procedures; machine technicians performed the accuracy testing and prepared the zero tapes and seals.
