Consultant says SixCo will submit HRSA semiannual report to bring district into compliance

Brett Mitchell, calling in for SixCo, told the Mac County Hospital District board that the district must complete its Semiannual Report No. 4 — including an itemized equipment list and a narrative explaining costs — to comply with HRSA environmental and reporting conditions and to meet an Oct. 1 extended deadline. Mitchell said SixCo prepared the documents and recommended the board authorize SixCo to submit them to HRSA.
"For the months of July and August we've been really focused on compliance with the HRSA grant," Mitchell said, urging trustees to approve the report package so the district could be brought into compliance and later pursue reimbursement of some previously expended pre-construction costs. He noted the revised budget reflected market and program analyses (Whitley study, architect space and program analysis) and that environmental compliance work is typically project-specific and occurs during design.
Trustees voted to approve Semiannual Report No. 4, the purpose/justification statement and the equipment list and to authorize SixCo to submit the items to HRSA; the motion passed 4–0. Mitchell said he would follow up with additional information about environmental-condition requirements and would attempt to obtain earlier study documents (Beck Environmental/Corti) for the board to review.
