Eight qualified proposals were received and the low bidder was Bar S Construction Company, LLC, with a base bid of $1,215,919.90. Winterton noted Bar S previously performed work as a subcontractor on Nathaniel Drive and provided free assistance during August 2024 flooding, and staff reported satisfaction with the contractor's performance.
Council Member Andersen moved to approve the Notice of Award to Bar S Construction; Council Member Jensen seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The project will reconstruct the roadway and replace the culinary water main as part of the City's infrastructure renewal program.
