Public Works Director Neal Winterton presented Pleasant Grove's Municipal Wastewater Planning Program (MWPP) and detailed recent sewer rehabilitation efforts. Winterton said the City prefers trenchless lining from manhole to manhole for rehabilitation but noted a recent contractor relay on 1100 North was rejected after camera inspection and will require re‑laying about 200 feet to meet standards; he estimated the required corrective work would be completed in 7–10 days.
Winterton emphasized that homeowners are responsible for lateral lines to the street and the City is responsible for the main, and that the City currently has roughly 134 miles of sewer pipe under maintenance by certified operators. He said there are no publicly owned lift stations in Pleasant Grove (some private lift stations exist) and that the City meters flow into TSSD for billing reconciliation. The MWPP review is an annual requirement intended to guide sewer planning and prioritize rehabilitation and replacement work.
