Council approved Resolution 12649 to purchase a 2026 Ferrara Inferno pumper (1,500 GPM custom pumper) for $1,175,000, a previously budgeted capital item to replace a reserve engine. The measure passed by roll call.
The council also approved Resolution 12662 to purchase five new police vehicles through cooperative or state contracts for a total of $226,259.17 (a mix of Ford Interceptor, two Ford Explorers, one Ford F-150 and one Dodge Durango). Council members discussed vehicle liveries and visibility but approved the spending.
Other capital approvals included $370,946.46 for the East Summit Playground and $226,708 for a PA system for Tatlack Field. Council indicated these purchases were funded in adopted capital plans or through designated capital accounts.
